Originally launched on the Apple App Store in 2013, "Flappy Bird" quickly became the most downloaded free game on iPhone, thanks to its simple yet highly challenging gameplay. At its peak, the game was generating over $50,000 daily through in-app ads and sales.

In January 2014, "Flappy Bird" also made its debut on the Google Play Store but was soon pulled from all platforms. Developer Dong Nguyen removed the game in February 2014, citing concerns that it had become too addictive.

However, in 2024, the legendary game is set to make a grand return! According to an announcement on FlappyBird.org, "Flappy Bird" will relaunch with new features and content.

"Ten years ago, I soared to new heights with 100 million friends," the website states. "But I had to leave the fame and spotlight behind to rediscover who I truly am."

Now, the classic game is coming back, not only with its original arcade mode but also with exciting new game modes, including an easier mode, a basketball mode, and even a battle royale mode. Additionally, new characters such as Trixie, Peng, Tekno, and Quirky will join the game, each with unique superpowers.

While the official release date has not yet been confirmed, the website and trailer suggest that "Flappy Bird" will be "landing soon" in 2024.
